Hello PJ'ers

As many of you know, our beloved board was hacked last night and wiped out our templates and thread history.

We were not able to recover the history :(

All user accounts were not touched or compromised.

We will have the site templates restored shortly, but I ask that you help us in restoring the busy active board that we all know.

So lets get new threads going ... ;)

How sad.. you guys cant even backup your own message board history each night incase of a problem like this.. let it be known how unsecure you guys are..now I'm gone for good which I'm sure most everyone will be now after you guys being hacked and my email being spammed.. ASSHOLES!

We are trying to figure that out how the hacker got in.

From what I can tell is that one of our admin passwords was compromised and they went in destroyed, reset, deleted everything they could.

We are reviewing our security - changing passwords and even changing the location of the admin.

It looks like the avatars and signatures were also destroyed - so please go into your profile and restore them.

This really sucks man ... what can I say.

What I can promise is that we are going to come up with some kick ass promotions next week.

Your right ... we should have a current backup of the treads, we did ... but I won't get into that.

I do want to applogize on behalf of the entire PJ's team for losing thread history data. It should not have happened ... and it won't again.

I get spam on a daily basis and just delete it. I don't even bother reading most of it. It isn't worth the effort. I won't reply to them either to have my email deleted from their mailing list. I don't want to "confirm" my email address.

Hacking, causing damage, gaining profit from damage!

Whoever did it is a total idiot.

Hacking someones site or being affiliated with that can get you 2-3 years jailtime, no matter what end of the world you live in.

My suggestion is to e-mail the IP and hack description to the FBI or Interpol depending on where the guy lives. And he's FUCKED!

The feds have these days enough resources to investigate every case.
